How to Find Crash Logs

Locate Your Logs

Crash logs let us diagnose in minutes instead of days. Here's exactly where to find them.

Open Run Dialog

Press Win + R to open the Run dialog. Paste the path below exactly as shown and press Enter. Windows will open the log folder directly.

Find the Right File

Sort the folder by Date Modified. The most recent .log or .dmp file is your crash log. If multiple files have the same date, take the largest one.

Attach & Report

Scroll to the Submit Ticket form below. Attach the log file. The entire process takes about 90 seconds and significantly accelerates our diagnosis.

Crash logs are treated as technical data only — no personal information is extracted beyond the error context.

Frequently Asked Questions

Update your GPU drivers to the latest version. If the issue persists, right-click the game in Steam → Properties → Launch Options → add -windowed. AMD users: open Windows Settings → System → Display → Graphics → disable Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling.

Files are timestamped. Back them up before any major patch. As of v0.8.6, the game creates an automatic backup save every 3 real-world minutes during active sessions.
Confirmed issue in v0.8.4 (BAS-088). Patch in progress. Temporary workaround: pause (Escape) and unpause during the cutscene to resync the audio stream. Does not trigger a save or affect progress.
This is a streaming issue on systems with less than 16GB RAM (BAS-091). Workaround: Settings → Graphics → Texture Quality → set to High (not Ultra) before zone transition. Fix is in the v0.8.6 queue. Attach your crash log to the form below to help us track edge cases.
Cross-save between Steam and Epic Games is not available at launch — Steam and Epic are separate save systems. This is on the post-launch roadmap. Cross-platform saves between the two PC stores may be added in a post-launch patch.
Known on specific audio configurations (BAS-094). Check: Settings → Audio → Harrow Proximity Cue → ensure slider is not at zero. If using AMD integrated audio or Creative X-Fi hardware, try switching to Windows default audio output temporarily to confirm. Report your hardware via the form below so we can add your config to the fix list.
Check minimum requirements: Blood & Silence requires an NVIDIA RTX 3070 / AMD RX 6800 XT or equivalent at 1080p/60 on High settings. For FPS drops specifically in The Maw district, reduce Volumetric Fog Quality — this is the most expensive setting in fog-heavy areas. Also ensure GPU drivers are current. DLSS/FSR quality mode is recommended as the performance baseline.
